We always dream of success. However, success does not come easily to us.
Airplanes take off with the power of powerful engines.
Let's create a life that soars with success like an airplane running down a runway and taking off.
1. Runway Theory
1) Edison succeeded in developing the phonograph
When Edison invented the phonograph, many people were challenging the invention of the phonograph. But everyone except Edison gave up halfway. It is said that those who gave up in the middle did it in common when news of Edison's success in inventing the phonograph finally spread. "If I had tried a little harder, I would have been able to invent it first... If you listen to the stories of people who study success studies, the difference between successful and unsuccessful people is not that great. Also, 95% of those who fail did not fail because something went wrong from the beginning, Most have given up on the brink of success, and it's the last drop that makes the water overflow.
2) Runway theory
This is where the runway theory comes in. For an airplane to take off, the lift force must be greater than the weight of the airplane. Lift depends on the wing structure, propulsion force, runway distance and time, but assuming that the wing structure is the same, the following formula is established. Lift = Propulsion xt (the square of the runway time) Depending on the type of aircraft, a jumbo airliner needs to travel about 1,800m at a speed of 260-300km/h to obtain the lift required for takeoff. Two conditions are required for this.
① It must be above a certain speed.
② Must run over a certain distance/time. This is a perfect condition, so even a slight deficiency in either of the two will prevent the plane from taking off. The lift required for takeoff can be obtained only when the aircraft sprints at full power over a certain distance at a speed above the limit. No matter how long you run on the runway, you cannot get the lift required for take-off unless the speed is higher than a certain speed, and no matter how fast you run on the runway, you cannot fly unless you run over a certain distance. It means that more than a certain amount of concentration and more than a certain amount of absolute time are required to succeed. Only then can you leap to a higher level.
2. Standing firm in difficulties(七顚八起)
Standing firm in difficulties(七顚八起) means to get up the eighth even if you fall seven times, and to stand up again without giving in despite failure.
1) Etymology of Standing firm in difficulties(七顚八起)
It originated from a story in the Book of the Later Han (後漢書) written by Fan Ye (范燁) during the Song Dynasty (宋). A general who was defeated in battle and chased hid himself in a small cave. After dispersing the web at the entrance of the burrow, the spider started spinning the web again. Even after dispersing the web seven times, the spider silently spins the eighth web. Meanwhile, an enemy search party crashed into the entrance of the cave. When an enemy soldier approached the entrance to the den and saw that it was blocked with cobwebs, he led his comrades around and deserted, saying that there was no need to search as no one would have gone inside. It is said that the longevity, who owed his life to the spider that did not give up and gained great enlightenment, later recovered, and made a great contribution.
3. How will you succeed?
1) It is important to believe in yourself
I am a very negative person. So, I tried mind control training steadily from a long time ago. When I wake up in the morning, I never look at my phone. First, sit on the sofa and meditate for 10 minutes. Blue sky, pretty fields with flowers, etc. I only think of good things. Think naturally. I do not force the appearance of a successful person (for example, the idea of owning a 20-story building in Gangnam, driving a Mercedes S500). I just recall the good scenery and good looks that I experienced comfortably.
2) Manage your time
I wake up in the morning and think about what I am going to do today. And set the time. I've been planning my routine in advance for nearly 20 years. And before I go to sleep, I write down what I did today in my diary. It does not analyze the problem. I accept myself the way I am.
3) Make a plan and act unconditionally
When I was in my 20s, I spent a lot of time planning. Now, once the plan has a direction and a rough outline, I act with my body.
4) Concentrate
I never think of doing many things at once. Some people run a blog, smart store, and YouTube at the same time. It's a very difficult challenge. Personally, I think it's right to focus on one. If you focus on one thing, your potential explodes.
4. Let's also install a strong engine
1) Do one thing well
If you do one thing well, there are too many derivative things. As an easy example, let's talk about a sports star. World-class stars retire and debut on TV. And you see it often on TV. It can be seen that the awareness of oneself during the days of a sports star naturally continues even in the field where the change has occurred. For one more example, when popular celebrities open YouTube channels, the number of subscribers increases tremendously in a brief period of time. There is an old proverb that says, 'just dig a well'. Just as a tree spreads its branches, there are so many things you can do if you do one thing well.
2) Learn Marketing
These days, the era of self-PR is definitely right. No matter how good you are, if you are not recognized in the world, you are not a true master. You should think positive about your PR. If many people can effectively use the talents I have, it can be a beautiful talent donation. So, you need to know a little bit about marketing. It's not about being an expert. Basically, you need to learn how to promote using Twitter and Facebook. Through steady self-information, the word success is next to me.
5. Success is our own story
1) Effort is fundamental.
The person who is writing this article has been blogging for two months now. I haven't slept before 2am in 2 months. Reading books, browsing the Internet, thinking, 'What would people like?' I thought about it and thought about it again. Of course, I'm still thinking more. But, little by little, the answer started to appear.
2) Always think of the other person.
Even while authoring this article, I always ponder in my head, 'What useful information should I give to people?' I try to think and write from the other person's point of view, who will be reading this article. A representative of a Korean company said, "The world is wide and there are many things to do." The world is really wide. I think there are many countries that I would like to visit but have not been to before I die. So, I am writing information and common sense that can be helpful even if the country is different in the Internet world.
