With the recent advancement of outdoor products, Gore-Tex clothing, which can be worn during leisure activities such as hiking suits, ski suits, and fishing suits, is gaining huge popularity. Gore-Tex is a functional garment with a waterproof function that discharges sweat generated in the body while preventing water from seeping in. Of course, the price is several times higher than that of regular clothes. It is important that Gore-Tex does not wrinkle. Gore-Tex is made by inserting a waterproof and breathable thin Teflon film between materials such as nylon, which is prone to damage. In particular, even when stored in a backpack, if you roll it in a circle with general equipment and poke it, the Teflon film breaks, reducing waterproofness. Therefore, you should be careful not to crumple or rub it when you put it in a backpack or get dirt on your clothes.

Gore-Tex is a clothing made of urethane coating, so after many years, the fabric and coating begin to separate. This is an inevitable lifespan due to the nature of urethane that reacts with moisture in the air. It is known to burn faster if you keep it still without wearing clothes. There is a dedicated detergent, so it is also a good way to wash it by hand. And after drying in the dark, if you use a hot air dryer or hair dryer weakly, the water repellent power will be revived to some extent. When storing after washing, it is recommended to never fold it (especially not stack it with other clothes and make it weigh down) and hang it on a hanger. In the case of handwashing, you can proceed carefully with a dedicated neutral detergent, and in the case of the washing machine, all zippers are closed with a dedicated detergent and even rinsed at a low speed. If you rub it and wash it, the coating breaks, so you should never rub it and rub it gently.

5. You can revive faded cotton products with vinegar.
