The wisdom of living in the kitchen

by jalhanda 2023. 5. 7.

If you know it in the kitchen, you organize the wisdom of comfortable living.

1. The standard of sharpening a knife while pushing it

When you sharpen a knife on both sides, you have to sharpen the front and back blades the same number of times. The angle of the knife and the whetstone should be sharpened as small as possible, and the force should be exerted only when pushing the knife is pushed. However, when you grind one blade, you only need to grind the back of the blade with an angle (the back of the knife is on the right side when you hold the knife with your right hand) several times, and then grind the front side horizontally with the whetstone. In general, the blade becomes dull about a week after sharpening. You must change it at least two or three times a month.

2. Boiled eggs, cut them with a hot knife to make them clean

You may think you can easily cut soft boiled eggs with a knife, but you may have had a hard time because it doesn't grind well. When cutting eggs, preheat the knife. Then, the egg will be cut neatly and easily.

3. If there is no dull knife or whetstone, use aluminum foil

When the knife or scissors are not working well, try cutting the aluminum foil. The weather is more divided than I thought. Also, when grinding with a whetstone, it is good to spray a small amount of cleanser and grind it frequently with water.

4. If you grind a knife or radish, it won't rust

Write down the wisdom of living to store knives that are not used often in the kitchen.

Coat the round radish with a cleanser and sharpen the knife here. This prevents the knife from rusting. Also, after using the knife, wash it with water and keep it dry. In addition, if you soak it in boiling water after use and wipe the water well to store it, it is effective in preventing the blade from rusting.

5. Never put things with metal in the microwave

Never put a product with metal in it in the microwave. It's because it's supportive, sparks fly, and sparks fly. Of course, you shouldn't put a plate with metal decorations. If it contains even a small amount of metal, it can cause a fire. There are disposable containers that are invisible to the eyes, but contain metal components. So you have to check the precautions before putting them in the microwave.

6. Remove the label of the teacup with acetone

You can easily remove your first cup with the wisdom of life.

Labels on teacups or cups can be easily removed by applying nail polish remover. If you wipe it with a sponge, you might break the glass for no reason. Small labels can also be removed using cellophane tape.

7. Moisture and cleanser in a food waste bowl are the most effective

Even if you wrap it in a plastic bag, the bottom of the container that stores food waste always gets wet. It's good to spray a lot of cleansers on the bottom of these containers. Even if the soup flows from the food waste, the cleanser absorbs it to some extent and can block the smell, so you can kill two birds with one stone.

8. It is hygienic to attach a hand-washing towel to the apron

When I work in the kitchen, I often wipe my hands on the apron. Usually, an apron doesn't wash very often, so it's very unsanitary to wash your hands with it and make food again. Rather, it is convenient and hygienic to hang a hand-washing towel separately from the apron.

9. When a glass product gets dirty, use a potato peel

There is a way to shine glass products such as cups, plates, and vases. Put potato peel in a cup, pour water, shake well, and wipe. If it gets dirty badly, leave it as it is and wait one night. It's really transparent and clean.

10. Use wooden chopsticks to make cuts in vegetables

If you want to cut vegetables without cutting them to the bottom, you should cut them with wooden chopsticks on both sides so that you don't accidentally cut the bottom. The depth of the sheath also becomes constant, so it can be neatly shaped.

11. A drop of vinegar when you wash fruits

Pesticides or fertilizers are used to grow various fruits. So there's pesticide residue that's bad for the human body. Put water in a basket of fruits. And drop 2 or 3 drops of vinegar. Wait at least 10 minutes for vinegar to remove any residue from the fruit's skin.

12. Eliminate mosquitoes that are annoying like this
