1. Rice cake mold, mustard are special

It can be prevented by mold and mustard, which are easily formed when rice cakes are cut to be easy to eat and stored in a box. The method is very simple. All you have to do is put two tablespoons of mustard in a small sake cup, wrap it well with Korean paper, and put it in the rice cake box. Then, miraculously, mold does not form on the rice cake.

2. Fish (fish and shellfish), frozen in a plastic bag, and thawed in running water

It is very convenient to freeze fish and shellfish in plastic bags. When defrosting, take out the plastic bag and dissolve in running water. If you defrost fish and shellfish at room temperature, you may be infected with bacteria, but if you defrost the whole bag under running water, you can enjoy fresh and hygienic dishes because the unique smell of fish (fish and shellfish) is washed away.

3. When the leftover ham becomes hard, soak it in milk.

If the leftover ham is hard, soak it in milk. The ham can absorb the milk and regain its freshness. Also, when storing in the refrigerator, grease cut edges with butter to prevent them from drying out.

4. Frozen vegetables or fish, left at room temperature before opening

Store tea, coffee beans, seaweed, etc., which are easily damaged by moisture and easily lose their aroma, in the freezer. However, there is one thing to note here. Frozen foods tend to get soggy when opened immediately after taking them out of the freezer because water droplets are frozen around the bag. It is recommended to leave frozen food at room temperature and open it when the moisture in the package is gone.

5. It is convenient to freeze the same radish in small portions

Dividing the same radish or mashed potatoes into portions for one use and freezing them is very convenient later. Also, if you put it in an aluminum lunch box or plastic bag and quickly freeze it, you can always enjoy the fresh taste.

6. Large cheese, split in two and eat from the middle

Cheese hardens when the cut part comes in contact with the air, so you can cut off the edge and eat it every time you eat it. It seems to work fine if it's wrapped well, but it doesn't do much. Therefore, the cheese is cut in the middle rather than at one end. It is best to cut it in two and eat it from the inside out. It's easy to think that this will leave two cuts and dry out easily, but it actually keeps them fresher because the cut surfaces are interlocked and not easily exposed to air.

7. Add soggy salt and stir-fried rice to make it smooth

Salt is highly hygroscopic, and especially in the kitchen, where moisture easily permeates, it becomes soggy that sometimes the salt does not come out even if you shake the bottle. To prevent moisture, mix about 10 grains of roasted rice and set aside. This will allow the rice to absorb the moisture and make the salt dry.

8. If you bury it in eggs and salt, it stays fresh for a long time

It's good to keep eggs buried in salt without putting them in the refrigerator. Salt the jar and set it upright so that the eggs do not touch each other. If you put plenty of salt on top of it and keep the eggs out of contact with the air, they can be stored for more than a month.

9. Bottled, heated to remove air

If there are leftover bamboo shoots, bracken, etc., they should be quickly blanched in salt water and stored in a wide-mouthed glass jar. In this way, it can maintain its freshness for about 2-3 months. However, when bottling like this, it is important to remove the air. Once the ingredients are in the jar, put the lid on a little loosely and steam it in the pot for about 20 minutes. This will allow the air to escape, and even if the bottle is hot, you can close it tightly with gloves on, let it cool, then close it tightly again.

10. Mug wort, can be stored for more than one year if placed in the freezer

When warm spring days return, mug wort is sometimes eaten as food. By the way, if you want to store mug wort for a long time, boil it lightly to extract the bitter taste, rub it with salt, squeeze out the water, and put it in a plastic bag. And if you put it in the freezer as it is, you can enjoy the green mug wort all year round.

11. Get rid of soy sauce mold with mustard powder

Soy sauce with radish added is easy to mold. Eating it doesn't do much harm, but it doesn't feel very good. Add about a teaspoon of mustard powder to 1.8 liters of soy sauce. This will prevent mold from forming for quite some time.

12. Ants gathering in sugar, block it with leek

Place a rubber band around the mouth of the sugar bottle. This will keep the ants from getting close. This is because ants hate the smell of rubber. Also, if ants gather in the sugar jar, rub the leeks well with your hands and place them on top of the sugar. You can get rid of ants in minutes.
